Apple Box Presents Jacobs Party

"Hello,

I'm having another one-man-social-anxiety-dance-party and you are all invited. It will be filled with nostalgia and regret, like your favourite noughties music videos, and parties you mum tentatively let you go to with a four-pack of RTDs.

There will also be free food.

Please come."

Jacob hates attending parties, they are uncomfortable and awkward and everybody is looking at him. He’s been to a few now and he’s come up with the rules for a successful event. Jacob’s Party is an hour long music video to the soundtrack of our youth. Jacob takes his social anxiety, holds a mirror to it and laughs in its face.

James Nokise - Talk a Big Game

Fresh back from 5 Star reviews and sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, James Nokise returns to Hastings.

James Nokise has spent the last 10 years focusing on biting political satire, then Brexit happened, then Trumpocalypse happened. So this year it's jokes on sports, New Zealand's favourite pastime! If John Key can retire from politics, then so can James.

From Cairn's cricket controversies, to running against Nick Willis, to stealing Valerie Adam's shoes. He’ll theorise as to why Steven Adams is the end of the All Blacks; why he'd rather take on Manu Vatuvai than Maria Tutaia; and why Richie McCaw may be Jesus. He’s talking World Cups, World Champions, but no world events.

May contain traces of politics.
